Welcome to The LOCALS’ Bookshop Website!

We are in business for:
The animals.    Your health.     The planet.

It is time to update everyone on what we are doing, where we will be over the next two months and what we have planned for the next season.

First things first:

We have begun a new campaign: Ask Me Why I’m Vegan

We have 6 beautiful buttons with this very question on them and we are hoping vegans everywhere will wear them so we can have the necessary conversations about this vital and revolutionary way of life. I mean saving the planet, the animals and ourselves is quite a phenomenal way of life!

We’ve also begun selling what we call our Vegan Critters. A local artist in Middle Smithfield Township, where we live in PA, has made these critters exclusively for us. What a treat it is to sell them. Having a soft and colorful veggie critter on your car dashboard, on your desk, as a gift - as a way to say that you believe in the power of fruits and vegetables to make this a better world, that’s the goal.

This is all about visiting us in person. And as our third season winds down, we will be mostly in our own local farmers market. We will be looking for ways to show up elsewhere to sell books and to give out all the amazing brochures, magazines and stickers we have from PETA, PCRM (Physicians’ Committee for Responsible Medicine) and the American Vegan Society.

Because we can’t be everywhere, even as a pop-up bookstore, we have an online bookstore for you to buy any of our or any book you want. Not only is this the best way to get the books you want, but you will be helping to support us (and indie bookstores all over the country) with your purchase.

Stop on by and browse our dynamic array of books!
